TESSA PESKETT Tessa’s inspiration comes from the evocative light and hazes so often seen in early morning – or evening – sea and landscapes. Her gentle harmonious compositions well reflect the gentle harmonious core of her own nature. Her paintings have delightful and meditative qualities that demonstrate a serene use of paint, emotion and light – often approaching Turneresque complexity. After gaining her BA (Hons) Fine Art at Reading University, Tessa went on to achieve a Higher Diploma Postgraduate Painting (City & Guilds at London Art School) and was elected ROI (Mall Galleries) in 1993. Over the past 15 years Tessa has had her paintings accepted for The Royal Academy Summer Shows, The Discerning Eye and The Royal Institute of Painters in Oils at the Mall Galleries, London. Her paintings have been shown at numerous exhibitions throughout the South of England, London and the Midlands: |

Tessa’s recent paintings have been inspired by the tranquillity and hues evident around her new home in the Var Region of Southern France, while working visits to Venice and Thailand last winter have led to new series where she has complemented her established painting techniques with refined and serene images.
